To the Internet!

I quickly realized that not only did I not know how to get to the end of the road, I didn't even know where to start. Ali had a good friend who is established in the industry and I reached out. He politely enumerated many of the things I didn’t know and then wisely didn’t get involved further.

I, believe it or not, have not only a college degree but one that while generally useless for my survival is surprisingly relevant to producing a thing - as long as that thing isn’t useful and is hopefully entertaining. With my extensive background in unpublished writing, expensive education and Google I was able to convert my screenplay into a format an actually talented person could utilize. Now I just needed to find an actual comic book artist.

So, like with any other question I had I went to the internet, usually Google but in this instance where I knew I needed a community I turned to Reddit. So after sifting through Instant Karma, BabyElephantGifs, and SquaredCircle I eventually found a pertinent subreddit - ComicBookCollabs. I made a post and was immediately bombarded with all the internet has to offer: bots, hacks, scams, and amazingly enough a few actual real talented artists interested in collaborating (for x dollars per page of course - I’m not paying in ethereal concept of exposure and promises of future fortunes like so many others.)

I decided interviews were in order and emailed a couple artists my sample script page and ask them to go crazy. And they did. I eventually found Christos Pittas - a wonderful Greek artist. Here is his sample page in inks.
